My Visual Design Philosophy
Conveying ideas to the user requires a keen eye for effective visual design.
In the corporate world, there is a need to balance branding, visual interest
and useability. To properly mix this recipe into an effective design requires
much more than simply creating "cool" graphics in PhotoShop or Illustrator. It
requires an exhaustive knowledge of the capabilities - and limitations - of the design discipline
you are creating a piece for.
Although there are distinct differences in the goals and processes between interactive
and print design -- light, color, shape, layout and content are all primary elements of effective visual
design. When used correctly, these elements make up the building blocks of a
design that will get results.
